The Wed. morning of July 11, 2007 Karen and I arose early and left home at 6:40 a.m. heading for the Atlanta airport. We met Keith at I-Hop exit 233 for brunch. Keith had taken the morning off from work to wish us farewell. We visited and ate brunch, then Karen rode with Keith to the airport while I followed behind. We met the rest of our “Super 6” team at the airport at 10:30 a.m. – Jeff Harris, his daughter Ashley Harris, Leah Tyson, and 15 year-old Jill Watts and their families and everyone wished their loved ones a fond farewell. Because of bad weather, our U.S. Airways flight was delayed and we were changed to Delta. We did not leave the airport until 8:00 p.m. that day – headed for Frankfurt, Germany.
